They're watching you

Facebook has taken the Internet by storm. I read a recent article that stated that (at the time) it was second only to Friendster, and gaining ground. Who knows where it stands now, eh?

I am, quite frankly, quite sick of Friendster right now. I don't even log in anymore unless I get an alert, which are few and far between. Plus, in the past year, Friendster has become increasingly cluttered. Facebook, on the other hand, is gorgeous. Clean, functional yet sophisticated. And fun too.

But of course, there is a dark side. Basically, amongst your friends, there is no privacy unless you set the appropriate settings. You can see what all your friends are doing. Who they talk to to, what they say, what they do. It's oddly intriguing. We're all closet gossips anyway and it's strangely fun to be able to see what everyone says to each other (provided everyone is your friend).

It's a voyeur's dream.
